II Public Software National Meeting brings together more than 50 communities of the Brazilian Public Software Portal

Any brazilian unit of government whether local, state or federal government has in the Public Software Portal a showcase for open source software capable of adding intelligence to many processes that underlie their self-management. Brazilian private companies can also benefit from the tool available in the portal, which makes it extremely democratic and a potencial cooperator for the spread of freedom and sharing of technology.

The SNEP is currently the only software of telecommunications in the portal and in the recent months has expanded its community for more than 2500 users. As a member of this group of free software, the SNEP will be in the Second Public Software National Meeting, an event organized by some federal government departments including the Ministry of Plainning and the Ministry of Cities. The meeting will bring together more than 50 communities in the portal and will aim to bring entrepreneurs, managers and government representatives from the public software, creaating a space to discover the potential of each software and the ways in which institutions can benefit from them.

The event will also discuss the future of the Public Software, and to give five parallel activities, which will adress topics such as Information Technology for Cities, Software Quality and Governance in Information Technology.

VIII Latinoware- Technology Integration between Latin American countries

It's approaching another edition of Latinoware, one of the most important events of the OpenSource community of the Americas, which brings together entrepreneurs, technology professionals and personalities, government representatives and students from Latin American countries.

Discussing solutions and intelligence arising from the Free Software and open source technologies, Latinoware will be held from 19 to 21 October in the city of Foz do Iguaçu - PR, Brazil and will be promoted jointly by Itaipu, the Itaipu Technological Park Foundation, Celepar and SERPRO.

As in previous editions, SNEP will attend the event with lectures and tutorials, they plan to present the software, its functionality, features and benefits.

SNEP will be the highlighted solution on City Halls Meeting

Technologies that improve public services and are applied to the efficiency and transparency of the municipal management are the subject of the IP Meeting Prefeituras 2011, happening on August 16 in São Paulo, Brazil, which will gather executives and representatives of all the municipal governments of the country.

The event will be open to discussions and presentations of solutions that contribute to the agility, flexibility, and add intelligence to governmental processes.
